“Created by perfumer Jordi Fernández (Givaudan), Nostos was first composed as an olfactory study of incense. During the creative process, the note took on a mythological depth - we began to imagine incense as the “smoke of memory,” something that binds gods and men. The result is a fragrance that feels both ancient and modern, sacred and intimate. While Nostos is not a gourmand fragrance, it has a sensory richness close to a feast: the golden warmth of saffron, the smooth sweetness of sandalwood, and the deep, resinous trail of incense and amber. It feels like tasting a rare spice - mysterious, sacred, and addictive - that lingers on the skin like the memory of a banquet from another era.”

FLAVOUR PROFILE
In Ancient Greek, nostos means “the return” or “homecoming”, a reoccurring theme in Ancient Greek literature, where it is used to refer to a hero or adventurer returning home after a long time away. It is rare – most never achieve nostos, and therefore as a concept it speaks to the heart and imagination, representing hope in circumstances where there may be none. This fragrance in particular evokes the myth of Achilles, the most beautiful of heroes, caught between divine power and human fragility. Like an incense burning for three thousand years, it tells the story of passion, war, and the desire to transcend destiny.
