We chose Tales of Amber as a representation of a decadent and delicious oyster, not one that’s fishy but instead so fresh and creamy, flavoured with only a whisper of the ocean’s effervescence, garnished with tantalising spices. “To me, this perfume is everything that I love in amber fragrances, round, boozy yet sexy. It has the spirit of the vintage amber perfumes from the roaring 1920’s. I had the privilege to work with perfumer Suzy Le Helley from the famous perfume house Symrise and she shared with me an amber base created around the beginning of the 20th century and which formed a base in many Chanel perfumes back then. It is exactly the same base that I have in Tales of Amber.”

FLAVOUR PROFILE
A bold interpretation of an ancient material, Tales of Amber reconnects perfumery with the raw, elemental origins of scent. Created by Goldfield & Banks’ founder Dimitri Weber in collaboration with French perfumer Suzy Le Helley, Tales of Amber balances innovation and tradition, drawing inspiration from the ocean’s mystery and Australia’s wild botanicals. As the fragrance unfolds, the gourmand glow of Amber 83 deepens – its creamy sweetness a counterpoint to Ambergris’s animalic, oceanic intrigue.
