The earth beneath Lyssan’s feet is cooling and damp. She can feel the magical energy of the garden rising up through her legs, making her footsteps lighter as she walks towards the roaring waterfall that has just come into view.
We have become absolutely enamored by this new local fragrance house. Tulita is an evolutionary brand that gives us modern, luxurious all-natural fragrance that is incredibly blended. Informed by the principles of Ayurveda, all of Tulita’s fragrances are created to assist the wearer in achieving balance by engaging in daily aromatherapeutic rituals. Agati means grounded in Sanskrit, and is designed to assist in balancing the Root Chakra, responsible for our sense of safety, security and basic needs. When you spray Agati on your skin, take a moment and set the intention – “I am protected”.
Upon first spray of Agati, there is a fresh yet earthy warmth, a hint of bergamot but more so the combined spice of black pepper and ginger. It’s intriguing, like you’ve just come upon a mysterious yet also strangely familiar dirt trail that leads you into the deep dark depths of a forest. But right now, you’re just at the enticing entrance, there’s still a lot of brightness from the sun shining on your skin and the earth beneath your feet.
This gradually gives way to cardamom, basil, violet leaf and cypress; cooling the fragrance on your skin. There’s a subtle green, mellow tone that tempers the opening spice and leads you to a most spectacular discovery…an old, wise sandalwood tree. It’s like you’ve just come face to face with the king of the forest himself. The oldest and most grand sandalwood tree is what is at the heart of the forest, and of course, Agati.
It feels like there’s some kind of magical quality to Agati when you wear it. It’s a little mysterious, but again, like the forest we spoke about earlier, still familiar due to its natural realism. In that way, it does a really good job at demonstrating the power of Mother Nature, and our connection to her as humans.
