This fragrance is clean, summer skin - bottled. Sydney fragrance house Map of the Heart is known and very well loved at Lore for their unique and quirky scent blends, incredible heart bottles and for the journey their scents take you on. The Heart of Freedom perfectly captures the wistful concept of summer beach days that go on and on and on. A nostalgic nod to those childhood days at the beach where you run through the sand dunes, jump through waves and play the entire day and have zero concept of time, stopping only to rehydrate with an icy pole from the esky. This scent is a beachy scent, but it’s different to what you might expect. It’s a gentle front beach with soft small waves that lap at your ankles. It ultimately smells like freshly washed skin after a day at the beach. Slightly salty from the sea salt, but clean from soap that has a hint of floral to it, as your day now transitions to the patio and the sun begins to set. Initially when we spritz v.1 on the skin, it is bright and crisp from the citrus and blackcurrant. However, the clean floral note of peony blending with the aquatic note ultimately steals the show. Their fusion is seamless and they are perfectly complemented by the green notes and musk, simultaneously adding a skin like smell as well as a sharp crispness. This fragrance is kind of how we wish we naturally smelt, as it’s somewhat skin-like on the dry down, a little musky, a little salty, nice and clean. It’s effortless and elegant and easy to wear.
A rebirth and a palette cleanser to wrap up and bring us to our final scent together for the 12 Days of Spritzmas.
