Put the kettle on, it's time to get comfortable.
The Tale
Branches laden with impossibly perfect fruits arch across the garden. Lyssan picks one, smells it, and is brought back to her apothecary where she creates her bespoke fruit tea blends. She won’t allow herself to be distracted though, she continues to follow the garden path, deeper into the garden.

From Sydney-based perfume house Chasing Scents, Tea Service is the unmistakable scent of jasmine tea.

Founded by Sandy Wong, a scientist who became enthralled with the world of perfumery while completing her PHD in Chemistry, this fragrance house has really carved out its own niche within the niche fragrance business. Their point of difference is that all of their scents are inspired by, smell like and contain… tea.

A collection of fragrances that is both modern yet also steeped in tradition, each Chasing Scents fragrance pays homage to the cultural origins of tea and its importance in society. Bonding, conversations, meals and memories can be shared and exchanged over cups of tea, and that’s what Sandy tries to convey through her perfumes.

The beauty of the Chasing Scents fragrances is that they’re realistic, and that’s because the tea notes haven’t been synthesised or approximated, they are actual tea tinctures and extracts made from real tea.

Tea Service, is the most popular scent in the range, perhaps because it’s the most recognisable and evocative tea scent for those who love tea.

The jasmine tea note is the strongest and most prominent throughout the wear of Tea Service. There is a slight bitterness to the tea note that contributes to its realism, like steam coming off a freshly poured brew. The oolong tea is fresh with a soft, fruity, floral crispness. Soon, the slightly tart goji berries start to come out as does osmanthus - yet both are gentle in comparison to the star of the show - still the jasmine tea. It’s as though the fruits are infused in the tea adding a subtle flavouring to the overall fragrance. The dry down is a soft bed of peach and musks that ground the fragrance and complete the calming ritual of Tea Service.

This fragrance is so real and evocative, and possesses the power to uplift the wearer due to its fresh fruitiness. It smells like iced jasmine tea on a hot day, hot jasmine tea on a cold day, it nourishes the soul whenever you wear it, never failing to put a smile on your face.
