We all know and love Goldfield & Banks by now - they’re one of our most popular fragrance brands for good reason. Plus it’s a lovely cherry on top that they are Aussie and hero local ingredients.

Silky Woods was created in 2023, and quickly shot up to become one of Goldfield & Banks’ most popular scents. So when we found out that Silky Woods Elixir was in the works we were keen… Needless to say, finding our that the perfumer of the Elixir was none other than the iconic Olivier Cresp, we were all waiting with bated breath.

The best part is - Silky Woods Elixir did not disappoint. It is a different version of the original. They’re cousins. But Silky Woods Elixir is like the richer, cooler cousin. You know the one - their family is wealthy and everything they do is so suave and sophisticated. They’re the one you always silently envied as a child at family occasions; they had the best toys, the designer clothes, the coolest bedroom and of course, they’re very good looking. Yep, that’s Silky Woods Elixir in the Goldfield family.

Now while the essence of Silky Woods is here, we have additional notes too, and this fragrance opens with a fiery burst of saffron. It sets the warm, creamy and luxurious undertones of fig and rose ablaze immediately on the skin. This scent feels more complex and nuanced than the original. It has a more powerful punch to it. Silky Woods is like a gorgeous star in the night sky - steady, shining bright; while Silky Woods Elixir is a meteor shower exploding in a breathtaking display before your very eyes. It’s powerful and intense and magical and impossible to ignore.

As the fragrance settles, it’s a vanilla, resin, woody party with a hint of saffron still hanging on til the wee hours. Silky Woods Elixir is a rich and decadent oud, paired with a sweet and creamy vanilla; resinous, warm notes with hints of sharp sparkly-ness. Oh and did we mention that this fragrance is an absolute beast mode scent? Be prepared to make an entrance and be noticed in Silky Woods Elixir.
